Our Partnership with Tides Canada

Canodia is a Donor Advised Fund that is held with Tides Canada Foundation. Tides Canada Foundation is a Canadian public foundation dedicated to helping donors invest wisely in innovative charitable initiatives. As a registered public foundation, Tides Canada can receive and provide charitable tax receipts for gifts to the Canodia Fund from individuals and institutions and direct them towards our cause.

Partnering with Tides Canada allows Canodia to focus our efforts on fundraising and grant-making immediately without having to complete the time-consuming process of registering as an independent Foundation while benefiting from partnering with one of Canada’s most well-established and reputable charitable organizations. Besides taking care of grant-making, fund management, financial and legal administration, Tides offers services and counsel designed to provide the support we need to build an effective strategy to reach our giving goals and affect real, lasting change.

How do I get my Canadian Charitable Tax Receipt?

Tides Canada will provide Canadian Charitable Tax Receipts for donations greater than $50 that are received via cash, cheque, public and private shares, real estate, insurance, art and other forms. The Canadian tax receipt will be mailed to donors within 4-6 weeks.

Gifts of less than $50 should be donated online in order to receive a Canadian Charitable Tax Receipt.

Please complete the form for your employer. Your employer should submit the form with the payment to ensure that the funds get transferred properly.
